UNDP Annal Reports (2021-2024)

Flagship corporate reporting & global digital storytelling

The UNDP Annual Report is the organization’s flagship corporate publication, presenting development results and strategic priorities to Member States, donors, partners, and the public worldwide.

As a member of UNDP’s Brand and Marketing team, I led the design and end-to-end production of the digital Annual Report from 2021 to 2024, delivering four editions aligned with evolving global contexts and organizational themes. The digital reports were published in English, French, and Spanish, while the print editions were produced in all six UN languages, together forming the foundation of UNDP’s annual corporate communications.

I was responsible for the digital experience, including information architecture, UX/UI design, front-end development, accessibility, and performance. During this period, the Annual Report followed a print-first production model, requiring the digital product to translate complex, fixed editorial structures into a clear, navigable, and engaging online experience.

Over four cycles, the digital reports evolved from a single long-scroll format into a more structured, modular system, improving navigation, readability and accessibility. Each edition was hand-coded using UNDP’s design system rather than CMS templates, enabling flexibility, stronger performance, and continuous improvement across reporting cycles.

Within the Brand and Marketing team, under the leadership of Rodrigo Domingues, I worked closely with the creative lead (Peter Barry), graphic designers (Shangning Wang and Pragya Mahendru), and the Digital Communications Studio (DCS) to operationalize established editorial narratives for digital delivery.

My role focused on structuring content-dense material into coherent user journeys, responsive layouts, and accessible interaction patterns for global audiences. The work involved regular engagement with senior stakeholders, including the Executive Office and the UNDP Administrator’s office.

Reach and Impact

As UNDP’s most visible annual product, the Annual Report reaches audiences across 170+ countries and territories and is used operationally by regional and country offices for advocacy, fundraising, and strategic communications. The digital structure and design approach have been reused by other UNDP units, contributing to system-wide consistency and quality standards.
