SDG Push — Accelerating Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals

SDG Push translates complex global development data into shared, human-centered experiences for policy dialogue.

Originally launched as a live interactive experience at UNGA 2023, the platform has since evolved into a scalable policy and analytics tool supporting ongoing country engagement.

Client: United Nations Development Programme

Role: UI/UX Designer & Front-End Developer

🔗Live site: sdgpush.undp.org

I worked across UI/UX design and front-end development, contributing to both the initial experiential launch and its evolution into a durable public-facing platform.

The initial experience centered on a generative landing page hero asking “How is [country] doing?” — shifting from individual nations to a collective lens and reframing SDG progress as a shared, human concern rather than an abstract set of metrics.

User Experience & Information Architecture

The UX design structured complex SDG information into a clear, scalable system for policy audiences. Through intuitive navigation and progressive disclosure, global and country-level content was organized to support both exploratory engagement and long-term use as a policy resource.

Visual Style & FutureSmart Approach

The visual design aligns with UNDP’s FutureSmart approach, combining institutional credibility with a forward-looking, systems-oriented visual language. Bold use of SDG colors, modular layouts, abstract forms, and motion communicate interconnectedness and momentum across goals, while clear typography ensures accessibility and consistency for policy audiences.

UNGA 2023 Launch Event

SDG Push debuted in September 2023 at the United Nations General Assembly as a live, large-format interactive experience for a UNDP side event with senior leadership and high-level guests.

UNDP Headquarters branding – SDG Push also carried forward The Future Is… theme from UNDP’s 2022 Annual Report, culminating in the organization’s first-ever window branding at Headquarters in New York, displaying “The future is hopeful” in all six UN languages, increasing UNDP’s visibility at a key global moment.

From Diagnosis to Action

SDG Push evolved from a diagnostic, comparative framing toward a more forward-looking, action-oriented narrative. This shift was reflected in the updated landing page and information architecture.

The evolution mirrors the initiative’s strategic direction — moving from raising awareness toward supporting SDG acceleration and policy action.
